报告题目：Some passenger safety issues from strategic point of view inmetro system

报告内容简介：

In view of the rapid increase in population of many large cities, development of metro system is a way to tackle the transportation problems. The metro system will handle huge volume of passenger everyday posing potential safety management challenges. The abrupt emergence of large numbers of people into a confined space, in particular some interchange stations, increases the probability of stampede disasters and transportation system disorders. Accordingly, passenger safety in metro system has always been the prime concern of metro company. A brief discussion on some issues of passenger safety such as crowd safety from strategic point of view in metro will be given.

卢兆明，香港城市大学建筑与土木工程系教授（前任系主任），从事建筑设计、火灾安全等方面的教学和研究工作。卢教授博士毕业于香港大学建筑学专业，是目前活跃在国际火灾科学和消防工程研究领域的知名学者。

卢兆明教授先后主持了13项香港政府资助项目（CERG/GRF），在建筑防火、人员疏散等研究领域取得了丰硕的研究成果，是行人与疏散动力学领域内最早开始通过建模的方式定量研究人员疏散的学者之一，在人员疏散的理论分析与工程实际方面积累了丰富的经验，发表各类学术论文累计超过250篇。近年来，卢兆明教授关注的研究领域是行人流组织与规划，人员疏散模拟，城市规划与火灾安全。
